As per my resolutions for this year, I am starting my weekly journal in French. A translation in English follows, just in case I forget the language myself!
C’est la première semaine de la nouvelle année. Je suis pleine d’espoir. Je ne sais pas ce que l’année me réserve, mais quoi qu’il arrive, je suis prête.
Le 1er janvier, j’ai gagné un peu d’argent. Le 2 janvier, je suis allée au Livingston Mall avec une amie. J’ai adoré le long trajet en voiture, et encore plus le shopping. Les jours suivants, je suis restée à la maison. Nous avons commandé à manger et regardé des films. Le 5 janvier, j’ai reçu un email confirmant mon entretien pour la semaine prochaine.
Je peux dire que l’année a commencé sur une bonne note.
This is the first week of the new year. I am full of hope. I don't know what the year has in store for me. Whatever it is, I am ready for it.
On January 1, I earned some money. On January 2, I went to Livingston Mall with a friend. I enjoyed the long drive and the shopping even more. I was at home the next few days. We ordered food and watched movies. On January 5, I got an email confirming my interview for next week.
I can say that the year has started on a happy note.
